JAGS Surrey Qualifier

With a few days before Surrey County qualifying times has to be submitted, this event gave swimmers a last chance at knocking those extra seconds off in order to gain the required time for their event.

The gala was organised by Wandsworth Swimming club held at JAGS Sports Centre in Dulwich. Its an invitation only gala, so SASC would like to say thank you to Wandsworth Swimming club for inviting us and giving our swimmers the chance to gain last minute county times.

A handful of SASC swimmers were invited to the 1 day event, Amelia, Charlie, Connor, Jessie, Molly, Shania and Sophia.

Jessie swam a superb 100 IM and knocked over a second off her PB to obtain her 3rd county time. She also gained county time in the 50 Back, making it 4 events in total.

Shania also gained a county time in the 50 Breast in a time of 45.39 to add to her 6 events she already qualified for.

Molly in the 200 Fly swam very well to break the 3 min mark to record a very good PB and improve her rankings for the event.

Sophia in the 50 Breast narrowly missed out by 2/100th of a second, so close!

Overall, it was a very good day for SASC swimmers.

With less than 2 weeks to go till the start of the championships, these are the SASC swimmers who worked so hard to qualify and we wish them the best of luck for the competition !!
